SPENCER — North Rowan’s 76-75 loss to Lincoln Charter on Saturday finalized the boys bracket for the Sam Moir Christmas Classic (Dec. 26-28) at Catawba College.

A coin flip conducted by ADs decided the top seed. Carson (6-3) won that flip with second-seeded Salisbury (6-3) on Saturday afternoon.

North Rowan (3-2) is seeded third. A win on Saturday would have made the Cavaliers the top seed.

A North-Salisbury semifinal on the second day of the tournament is certainly likely.

Fourth-seeded Central Davidson (5-4), which owns a win against North Rowan, and fifth-seeded Mount Pleasant (4-4) give the tournament a solid middle.

The 6, 7 and 8 seeds have won only one game between them. They’ll have to shock the world to advance to the semifinals.

Sixth-seeded West Rowan (1-6) has won only against South Rowan. East Rowan (0-8) is seeded seventh, as the Mustangs have one less loss than eighth-seeded South (0-9).
