SPENCER — The N.C. Museum of Dolls, Toys & Miniatures is thrilled to host a Christmas-themed miniature exhibit at its new location, 440 South Salisbury Ave., Spencer.

The festive exhibit celebrated the artistry and creativity of miniaturists while spreading holiday cheer.

Miniaturists from across the state were encouraged to showcase their Christmas-themed creations as part of the exhibit. Whether they crafted a snowy winter village, a cozy holiday scene, or an elaborate nativity, their work was welcomed.

As part of our soft opening celebration which took place from Dec. 5-7, visitors had the chance to vote for their favorite exhibits. Over 30 miniature scenes were entered into the competition. Winners were recognized with ribbons, making this an exciting opportunity for participants to share their talent with the community.

Congratulations to the first annual competition winners.

First place was awarded to Debbie Love of Charlotte for her 1-inch Roombox titled ”The Night Before Christmas.”

Second place went to Michael Hansen of Concord for his church creation, “Jesus is the Reason for the Season.”

Lynn Frank of Yadkinville secured third place with her version of “Santa’s Workshop.”

“We were grateful for their outstanding contributions and encouraged others to join in the celebration,” the organization said in a release. “Thank you for making this inaugural exhibit a memorable one. Whether miniaturists, admirers of fine craftsmanship, or those simply looking for a delightful way to enjoy the holiday season, everyone contributed to the success of the event.”
