College men’s basketball roundup: Tee scores 24 for Wheeling

WHEELING, W. Va. — Tee Harris Jr. (East Rowan) had 24 points in 23 minutes as Wheeling (5-6) closed out pre-Christmas action with a 92-56 blowout of Bryant & Stratton.

Harris shot 10-for-16 and had seven rebounds.

Harris averages 12.9 points and 8.0 rebounds and has 16 blocks.

WINSTON-SALEM — Freshman Juke Harris (Salisbury) is averaging 4.9 points and 2.1 rebounds.

Harris is 9-for-27 on 3-pointers.

The next action for Wake Forest is at Syracuse on Sec. 31.

CHARLOTTE — Johnson & Wales (1-9) returns to action after the break at Southwestern Virginia on Dec. 31.

Will Givens Jr. (West Rowan) has played in eight games and is averaging  5.4 points. Givens is 7-for-15 on 3-pointers.

LYNCHBURG, Va. — Cole Perry (Carson) has started every game for Randolph College (5-4).

Perry had six rebounds in a  96-90 loss to Nazareth that closed pre-Christmas action.

Perry averages 3.6 points and 3.6 rebounds and has 14 assists.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. — Claflin closed pre-Christmas action with an 84-70 CIAA loss to Virginia State.

Jailen Williams (Carson) scored seven points and had two assists for Claflin (9-6).

Williams has started all 15 games and averages 10.0 points and 2.5 rebounds. He has a team-leading 38 assists.
