SALISBURY — Power Curbers honored its associates for commitment awards and years of service at the company’s annual holiday party earlier this month.

Each year, Power Curbers recognizes two associates as winners of the Messinger Commitment Award. Criteria for the award, named for long-time past presidents, Richard Messinger and Dyke Messinger, include having a positive attitude, being a team player, producing quality work and dedication to the Power Curbers mission statement, “Our Commitment Shows.”

This year’s winners were Jacob Gleason and Danny Nance.

Gleason started at Power Curbers in 2021 during an apprenticeship through Rowan-Salisbury Schools and currently works in the fabrication department. His coworkers nominated him for his willingness to help others, exceptional quality of work and outstanding work ethic.

Nance, a Rowan County native, has worked in sales at Power Curbers since 2019. He currently serves as a regional sales manager, covering seven states on the East Coast. His coworkers recognized him for his dedication to Power Curbers’ customers, getting his work done in a timely manner and keeping the office fun.
