PINEHURST — Erwin Middle School student Camden Honeycutt shot a 6-under par 64 on Saturday.

That’s a PR for him.

Honeycutt was playing at Pinehurst No. 1 in the 12-14 age division in the 77th Annual Donald Ross Junior Championship.

Honeycutt led the tournament after the first round. Weather shortened Sunday’s play to nine holes. Honeycutt tied for first, but lost a scorecard playoff.

He was second in a field of 85 top junior golfers.
