College women’s basketball: Blue Bears fall at Young Harris

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. — Livingstone’s women’s basketball team ran into a hot team as they returned to action on Saturday.

Young Harris won its seventh straight game by beating the Blue Bears 82-74 in a non-conference game. The Mountain Lions (9-4) are still undefeated at home.

Livingstone (3-9) started strong and led 38-35 at halftime, but Young Harris swung the game with a big third quarter.

Samiyah Briggs scored 23 for the Blue Bears. Morgan Kelson had 16, and Ny’Asia Green had 11.

Livingstone did some things well, turning it over only 10 times and shooting a strong 10-for-26 from the 3-point line. Briggs made four 3-pointers, while Kelson made three.

Young Harris’ edge was on the boards. The Mountain Lions had 15 more rebounds than LC.
