Parking lot shooting victim dies

KANNAPOLIS — At about 6 p.m. Monday Kannapolis police were called to a parking lot on Pine Hill Lane for a possible shooting.
On arrival, officers found Khari Keem Wilkes 28, of 105 Pine Hill Lane, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Wilkes was transported to Northeast Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries.
Police say they are looking for two males who fled the scene on foot.
