I ran into David Whisenant bringing some more of his books, “Chasing the Story” to South Main Book Company. I walked in with him and was lucky enough to meet his wife, Jtan. I bought the book and it was the best book I have ever read. I guess the fact that you know or know about all the chapters he has written makes it even more interesting. I think there should be one in every home in Rowan County. I couldn’t put it down and finished reading it at 5:07 Wednesday morning, Jan. 1, 2025. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

On the recent loss of Mayor Karen Alexander, she and I always had the same conversation every time I bumped into her, which was quite frequently. I’d say, “I want to live in Salisbury so I can vote for you.” And she would say, “I want you to live in Salisbury so you can vote for me.”
