The Carolina Artists guild to hosts annual fun & fabulous pop up art show

The Carolina Artists guild will kick off 2025 by spotlighting member art at the annual Fun and Fabulous Pop Up Art Show on Thursday, Jan. 16, at St John’s Lutheran Church (Faith Center, 100 North Jackson Street entrance) in Salisbury. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for for meeting and refreshments, and the program starts at 7 p.m. Guests are welcome.
Members will be displaying three pieces of their art to share with members and guests. Artists will be sharing their techniques, inspiration and stories behind their artwork. Some art may be available for purchase. The Pop Up Art  Show is the perfect opportunity to to recognize artists and support their work.
New officers were elected in December. They are Mary Ellen Bennett, president; Cherrathee Hager, vice president and program director; Deb Fredette, treasurer; Stephanie Payne, assistant treasurer; Gale Rathburn, recording secretary; Mary-Louise Hooper, corresponding secretary and historian; and Andy Mooney, website manager and IT administrator.
The Carolina Artists guild supports its member artists throughout the year as artists offer classes, have individual exhibits or other art-related events.
January is the perfect time to join the guild, and discount dues are $30 per year thru April 30. Artists, photographers and art lovers are encouraged to attend monthly meetings, and guests are always welcome.
