Armed robbery follows Facebook Marketplace sale

Two people reportedly met to complete a Facebook Marketplace sale on Cornwall Drive. The victim told police the buyer initially claimed to be having an issue paying the victim on CashApp. After a disagreement the buyer allegedly displayed a handgun and left with a sweater and without paying the victim.

Officers were able to identify the offender and recover the sweater; however, the victim refused to press charges.

Salisbury Police reports

• A larceny from a motor vehicle on Crane Creek Road reportedly occurred between 10:30 p.m. Jan. 12 and 7:15 a.m. Jan. 13. Total estimated los was $160.

• A larceny from a motor vehicle on Morningside Lane reportedly occurred between 3 and 7:40 a.m. Jan. 13.

• A larceny from a motor vehicle on Crane Creek Road reportedly occurred between 3 a.m. Jan. 8 and 8 a.m. Jan. 11. It was reported Jan. 13.

• A theft of a bicycle from South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue reportedly occurred between 10:03 p.m. Jan. 10 and 2:02 p.m. Jan. 13. Total estimated loss was $200.

• A larceny from a business on South Avalon Drive reportedly occurred between 4:20 and 6 p.m. Jan. 12.

• Joseph Tambah Samolu, 70, was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with misdemeanor impaired driving.

Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports

• A larceny at Rufty Circle reportedly occurred about 6:45 a.m. Jan. 12..

• Justin Andrew Davis, 33, was arrested Jan. 12 and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.
