Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports
• A report of property damage from vandalism on Old Linn Road, China Grove reportedly occurred about 11:05 a.m. Jan. 8 and was reported Jan. 13.
• Shots fired into an occupied property with property damage but no injuries on North U.S. Hwy. 29 reportedly occurred between 8:40 and 8:57 p.m. Jan. 13.
• Travis Luis Castillo, 33, was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with larceny from a person and larceny from a motor vehicle.
• Robert Doyle Kelly, 57, was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with assault on a female, communicating threats and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

• An attempted theft of a motor vehicle from Statesville Boulevard reportedly occurred between 7 p.m. Jan. 10 and 11 a.m. Jan. 11.
• Property damage from a hit and run on Jake Alexander Boulevard South reportedly occurred about 5:04 p.m. Jan. 11.
• Property damage on East Bank Street reportedly occurred between 5:50 and 6 p.m. Jan. 12.
• An assault on Mahaley Avenue reportedly occurred about 6:05 p.m. Jan 12.
• An assault on Old Plank Road reportedly occurred about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 12.
• Larceny from a motor vehicle on Crane Creek Road reportedly occurred between 10:30 p.m. Jan. 12 and 7:15 a.m. Jan. 13.
• Larceny from a motor vehicle on Morningside Lane reportedly occurred between 3 and 7:40 a.m. Jan. 13.
• Larceny from a motor vehicle on Crane Creek Road reportedly occurred between 3 a.m. Jan. 8 and 8 a.m. Jan. 11.
• A bicycle was stolen from Partners in Learning on South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue reportedly occurred between 10:03 p.m. Jan. 10 and 2:02 p.m. Jan. 13.
• A larceny from South Avalon Drive reportedly occurred between 4:20 and 6 p.m. Jan. 12.
• A larceny from North Long Street reportedly occurred between 6 and 9 p.m. Jan. 13.
• Property damage from a hit and run on Klumac Road reportedly occurred at 2:35 p.m. Jan. 14.
• Brent Ozari Hemphill, 19, was arrested Jan. 12 and charged with resist/obstruct/delay of an officer.
• Jason Lee Rickard, 47, was arrested Jan. 12 and charged with violation of a 50b court order.
• Joseph Tambah Samolu, 70, was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with misdemeanor impaired driving.
• Bobby Ray Forbes, 71, was arrested Jan. 13 and charged with failure to appear and second-degree trespassing.
