Letter: Did I offend somebody?

I admit that I am surprised by big changes for the U.S. being contemplated by the Trump administration. Perhaps 15 years ago, I looked up the U.S. infant mortality rate. The U.S. came in 35th out of around 200 countries; note that we were behind Cuba. In 2024 we are ranking around 54th out of the countries listed.

If that no longer shocks us, God help us.

As a former Democrat, I am angry at the Democratic Party. For them, being progressive will probably mean running Hillary Clinton for president in 2028 with a trans-athlete for vice president.

Please, stop blaming and start being a part of the solution. I don’t understand everything the Trump administration has in mind, but I am definitely for change.

Oh, I’m sorry. Did I offend somebody? Well as the head of Accuracy in the Media and Accuracy in Academia said to me in the ’80s, “Grow up.”
