LEXINGTON — West Davidson edged East Davidson for the Central Carolina Conference Tournament championship on Saturday.

The Green Dragons scored 153.5 points to 152.5 for East Davidson.

Regular-season champ South Davidson was third with 135. Next were Salisbury (128), Lexington (115), North Rowan (70) and Thomasville (62).

Salisbury had four weight-class champs — D’mhad Bethea (138), Amir Bethea (145), Jackson Sparger (150) and Naim Bethea (157).

D’Mhad Bethea won by technical fall in the final. The other three Hornet champs registered pins in the finals.

Salisbury got fourth-place points from Kayden Borja (120), Gonzalo Nunez (126), Curtis Blackwell (165), Aexl Zavala (215) and Rodney Clyburn (285).

North Rowan had two champs.

Hunter Farris won at 106, while Anton Pontoon won at 126.

Both won by pin in their championship match.

Stephen Hughes had a runner-up finish for the Cavaliers at 285. Charles Coleman placed fourth at 190.

In the girls tournament, West Davidson won by a wide margin. Salisbury was third, while North Rowan was seventh.

Salisbury’s Dashia Canada (120) and Devonna Steele (152) were champions. Gensis Smith placed second at 132.

North’s Presten Pratt (100) and Jessi Hall-Woods (185) were third.
