Friday games …
LANDIS — South Rowan rallied in the fourth quarter and beat Concord 42-37 in South Piedmont Conference action.
“It was an exciting one,” South head coach Alex Allen said. “We played our best in the fourth quarter.”
The teams are very even. The Spiders beat South 41-38 in Rimer Gym in December, so the teams split the season series.
Concord (3-13, 3-7) led 31-26 going to the fourth quarter.
Danica Krieg scored seven points in the fourth quarter to key South’s comeback. Avery Fisher made a big 3-pointer, Ella Morgan had a clutch bucket before fouling out. Kynlee Dextraze, who had been shut down by the Spiders, made four critical foul shots.

CHINA GROVE — Both teams had their biggest offensive night of the season as Carson outscored West Rowan 62-53 in South Piedmont Conference action.
“We were up 17 and played really well most of the game, but then it got a little crazy in those last few minutes,” Carson head coach Chloe Monroe said. “Not many fouls were called, but we were able to fight through that.”
Carson got a boost from Caylee Snow, who played for the first time since December. She had been sidelined with a foot injury.
“She really helps us,” Monroe said. “It was great to have her back out there.”
Emily Guiton made two 3-pointers in the first quarter as the Cougars (4-15, 2-9) took a 12-11 lead. Rylee Hedrick and Julia Burleson combined for 16 in the second quarter as Carson took a 32-27 halftime advantage.
Allie Martin’s big third quarter — 10 points, with two 3-pointers — gave Carson some separation.
Martin scored 20, while Hedrick had 17 and Burleson had 15.
Hedrick has totaled 35 points in Carson’s two wins against West. Those are the only SPC victories so far for Carson (4-15, 2-9), although there a few more teams in the league the Cougars are capable of beating.
West (1-14, 0-10) got double digits from Sydney Smith (14), Jayden Carter (13) and Jamiela Allen (12). Carter tied her career high. Smith and Carter scored six each as the Falcons tried to rally in the fourth quarter.
