Police charge woman with embezzling money from local restaurant

Police arrested a Salisbury woman Tuesday on a charge of embezzling money from a local restaurant.
Salisbury Police say Melissa Dawn Solomon, 26, of 160 Barger Estates Drive, stole from Marlowe’s restaurant between February and April 2008.
Solomon, who was an employee at Marlowe’s, was arrested for embezzling about $3,000 from the restaurant, according to an arrest warrant from the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office.
Solomon faced a $500 bond.
