Girls State delegate
The Faith American Legion Auxiliary Unit 327 is sponsoring Shaina Kay Mortenson as a delegate to the 69th session of Tar Heel Girls State June 15-21 at Catawba College.
Mortenson, a rising senior at Carson High School, is an honor roll student and member of the French Club, National Honor Society, Junior Civitans, cross country and track teams. She is also a member of the Calvary Bible Church youth group.
Her parents are Dale and Jennifer Mortenson of Salisbury.
