Kannapolis ó The Kannapolis Police Department Criminal Investigations Division identified a third suspect in several robberies on Hammock Lane in the Oakcrest Apartment complex.
The department is seeking public assistance in the apprehension of Shakeal Raneal Hendricks, 16. He is wanted for three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon for his involvement in three separate robberies that occurred over three days. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
The first robbery occurred on May 23 at approximately 10:15 p.m. after a Dominos Pizza employee was called to deliver an order in the area of 1700 Hammock Lane in Kannapolis.
The employee said that as she attempted to deliver the order, she was approached by at least two black males carrying handguns demanding money and property. The woman complied with the demands.
The second robbery occurred on May 24, at approximately 11:20 p.m. when an employee of Wing Zone was making a delivery to the area of 1700 Hammock Lane. The employee reported he was approached by two black males with handguns demanding money and the food items. The suspects took the employee’s money and the food he was delivering.
The third robbery occurred on May 26, at approximately 2:50 a.m. when an employee of TJ’s Taxi Service was dispatched to the area of 1700 Hammock Lane. The driver reported that as he entered the apartment complex, three black males entered his cab. He said at least two of the suspects then displayed a handgun and demanded money. The cab driver complied with their demands and gave them his money.
Two other suspects, Theodore Blackwelder and Marvin Clayton, were arrested for their involvement. The charges against Clayton have since been dismissed. Blackwelder is charged with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Hendricks is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds. His last known address is 1310 Lane St., Kannapolis.
