Two women charged in Concord murder

CONCORD ó Two women have been charged with murder in the 2007 death of a Concord man.
Honey Rachel Watson, 26, and Elizabeth Dawn Mullis, 31, face first-degree murder charges and other charges in the death of Lee Monticello Bruner, 59, who had lived at 239 Lincoln St. S.W., Concord.
Bruner was found dead in his home on Feb. 10, 2007.
Concord Police Department investigators learned that Watson was in San Jose, Calif. Officers with the San Jose Police Department found her at a residence in San Jose on June 6. Watson has an extradition hearing scheduled in California today.Watson formerly lived at 261 Clintwood Drive. Charges, in addition to first-degree murder, include robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Mullis, formerly of 307 Prior Drive, is serving a sentence in the N.C. State Department of Correction on charges of obtaining property, felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, driving while license revoked, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Schedule II controlled substance.
Warrants were served on Mullis June 10, charging her with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
The investigation of this incident is ongoing.
