Flea market knife robbery

A thief broke into the Webb Road flea market and carted away $400 worth of knives, swords and other weapons.
According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, someone cut a portion of the fence that surrounds the property.
Someone took two long swords, five throwing knives, a torch knife, two throwing stars, six extendable batons, a machete and other knives and weapons.
Sheriff’s Capt. John Sifford said the items were kept inside a secured building at the market.
The owner of the booth, Timothy Grentzinger, went to restock some items Monday and discovered the theft, Sifford said.
The property was last secured on Saturday.
Grentzinger is owner of a knife business, My Knife Store. A phone call to Grentzinger was not immediately returned.
