Relay for Life to auction NASCAR items
The city of Salisbury’s Relay for Life team will auction a variety of NASCAR items at the Rowan County Relay for Life at the Rowan County Fairgrounds Friday and Saturday.
The city team will have a haunted junkyard at the event, where a variety of signed NASCAR items will be on display. The haunted junkyard, at booth 94, is open to visitors for a small fee. Items will be available for bidding at the exhibition hall by way of a silent auction.
A Ryan Newman and Ray McCauley Alltel No. 12 car hood will be on display and available to bid on through eBay. The city of Salisbury’s Relay for Life team will raffle off a NASCAR-themed basket in the exhibition hall.
All proceeds will benefit Relay for Life. Items were donated by Penske Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Gillett Evernham Motorsports, Dale Earnhardt Inc. and Joe Gibbs Racing.
