Stebe earns Eagle Scout

Kurt Theodore Stebe, 17, received his Eagle Scout award Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Tim Smith Scoutmaster of Troop 401, presented the award. Stebe is the son of Beth and Glenn Stebe of Salisbury and is homeschooled.
He is Order of the Arrow representative for his troop and chapter chief for the Rowan OA Chapter. He has also been senior patrol leader and Quartermaster.
For his Eagle Scout project, he updated a wildlife trail at Rowan County Wildlife Association campsite. He has earned 52 merit badges, the Ad Altare-Dei, Parvuli Dei, U.S. Heritage Award and the Henry Fairley Award for Scout Excellence 2007.
He attended Seabase and has volunteered at Camp Barnhardt and the N.C. Transportation Museum. He is active in Granite Quarry Junior Civitans and volunteers with the Rowan County Emergency Medical Service Explorer program.
