Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius will be in Salisbury Thursday night to stump for presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Barrack Obama.
Sebelius will speak at 8 p.m. in the Heritage Room at 118 E. Council St. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.
The Obama Web site says Sebelius will discuss the candidate, the nation’s future and what local residents can do to get involved with the campaign.
Obama is running against U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination and the two will face off in the North Carolina primary May 6.
Local supporters organized Rowan for Obama in February.
Sebelius is a two-term governor who first endorsed Obama in January and has been mentioned as a possible running mate.
