Healthy Kids Day will be Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Saleeby-Fisher YMCA in Rockwell across from Nazareth Children’s Home.
The first 500 youth will get a Healthy Kids Day backpack provided by Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Special presentations include:
– 10 a.m. ó East Rowan High School Winter Guard.
– 11 a.m. ó Dance Dimensions.
– 11:30 a.m. ó Cardio kickboxing.
– Noon ó jump rope.
– 12:30 p.m. ó Zumba.
– 1 p.m. ó Yoga.
There will be no joining fee on this day only.
Other events planned include a preschool obstacle course, inflatables, food and drinks, fingerprinting with McGruff of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, bike safety and drunk driving cars, clowns and face painting, CPR demonstration, fit and trim obstacle course, Smokehouse and Sparky, challenge course and more.
A one-mile Fun Run starts at 10:30 a.m.
