Taste of Home Cooking School coming April 15

The Taste of Home Cooking School is coming to town soon to help busy people answer the age-old question, “What’s for dinner?”
The cooking school will present a two-hour show at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at Jesse Carson High School.
The Salisbury Post ó along with Gallo Family Vineyards, McCormick, Taste of Home Entertaining and Viva ó will present the Taste of Home Cooking School “Swing Into Spring” show. The show offers recipe ideas, along with tips and tricks to make kitchen time easier.
Culinary specialists will demonstrate how to make such dishes as Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Taco Meatball Ring, Italian Herb Frittata, Avocado Eggs Benedict, Lemon Nut Twists, Meringue Nests and Flower Power Lemon Cupcakes.
Attendees will receive a promotional gift bag and the “Taste of Home Cooking School Brand Name Cookbook.” They’ll have the opportunity to register for door prizes, including the meals created on stage that night. More than a dozen local businesses and organizations are providing door prizes.
Attendees also will be able to visit vendor booths two hours before the show, starting at 4:30.
The Medicine Shoppe is presenting sponsor for the event. Other sponsors include Food Lion, Queen City, Renew Skincare, Rowan Regional Medical Center, Cultivating Colours and The Sofa Store and More.
