U.S. Senate candidate Kay Hagan to speak The Democratic Women of Rowan County will meet Saturday, April 12 at 9:30 a.m. at the Rowan Public Library, 201 W. Fisher Street.
The meeting includes a $2 continental breakfast.
U.S. Senate candidate Kay Hagan of Greensboro will speak. Hagan earned her law degree at Wake Forest. Later, she served as Jim Hunt’s Guilford County campaign manager when he ran for governor.
In 1998 she ran for the state senate seat representing Greensboro. She is currently in her fifth term in the North Carolina Senate and is co-chairwoman of the Appropriations Committee.
Also at this meeting, Democratic candidates for Rowan County Commissioner seats will be given an opportunity to make brief presentations.
People attending the breakfast may become members of Rowan Democratic Women with a dues payment of $8.
