Hazel S. Jordan
Hazel Sides Levay Jordan, 81, 400 Westover Ave., died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast, Concord, following a period of declining health.
Born March 24, 1927, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Herman W. and Esther Rimmer Sides. She worked more than 20 years in the Cannon Mills towel-folding department and was a member of North Kannapolis United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Ray E. Jordan, died in 1993.
Survivors include sons James R. Jordan, Kannapolis, and David R. Jordan, South Bend, Ind.; daughter Susie Head, Mount Olive; brother, Herman Sides, Kannapolis; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Monday, March 17, 2008, at Carolina Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Chuck Overcash.
