Myrtle G. Hancock
Myrtle Gilmore Hancock, 84, died, Friday, March 14, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast, Concord.
Born in Mount Croghan, S.C., on June 6, 1923, Mrs. Hancock was a daughter of the late Bunyan Tyler and Ida Lugene Gilmore.
A longtime member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church, she taught a pre-school Sunday school class for more than 30 years.
Her husband, Andrew Durant Hancock, died June 4, 2006.
Survivors include son Harry Hancock, Anderson, S.C.; daughters Janice Hancock, Kannapolis, Patty Eller, Mooresville, and Gail Cole, Columbia, S.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A service was held Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Lady’s Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Jim Grigg. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
