Recently, the N.C. Department of Public Instruction recognized the Kannapolis City Schools Finance Department for outstanding work in financial resource management. The department was one of a small number of systems across the state recognized for outstanding accuracy, responsibility and management of financial resources.
The state held a luncheon last week in Raleigh to honor and thank school systems which earned the award, called the N.C. State Board of Education Recognition of Achievement in Financial Resource Management for fiscal year 2006-2007.
In a press release, school leaders expressed pride in the service provided by the Kannapolis City Schools Finance Department and presented the department a plaque of appreciation at the school board’s March meeting.
