HIGH POINT ó Ronald Weatherford has withdrawn from the Democratic primary race to challenge incumbent Howard Coble (R-N.C.) for the Sixth Congressional District seat.
“I thank the residents of my district and supporters elsewhere for their encouragement and support. I will continue to serve our community on health issues,” said Weatherford, executive director of a nonprofit organization called Nia’s Ark, in a release announcing he was pulling out of the race.
