Salisbury City Council will receive Tuesday the official annexation report for the N.C. 150 area.
The report is one part of an annexation schedule the city will be following in coming weeks.
Representatives of the Centralina Council of Governments will present the report, which outlines how Salisbury would provide services such as garbage collection, fire and police protection and water-sewer services to the proposed annexation area.
A public informational hearing has been scheduled for March 27, and a public hearing will be held April 8.
Council could adopt an annexation ordinance as early as April 18 to make it effective for June 30.
The proposed involuntary annexation would take in an estimated 1,699 people and add 2,075 acres to the city.
The area includes the residential subdivisions of Woodbridge Run, Summerfield, Glen Heather, Windmill Ridge, Homestead Hills, Hidden Hut and Neel Estates and an area around the Rowan County Airport.
Council meets at 4 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 217 S. Main St.
In other agenda items Tuesday, council will:

– Consider an agreement with the N.C. Department of Transportation for landscape improvements at East Innes Street and Interstate 85.
