Stanly Rescue Squad honors volunteers
The Stanly County Rescue Squad recently honored several volunteer members for their years of service.
Five members received plaques for a combined 153 years of service. Six members were honored for their service of five to 10 years.
Those honored were Gene Starnes, 44 years; Larry McCrosky, 40 years; Charles Nannie, 29 years; Robert Wilhoit and Darrell Burgess, 20 years; Nancy Burleson, 10 years; Frank Leonard, seven years; Kandace Crawley, Chris Crawley, Kristy Wilhoit and Scott Burgess, five years.
