All-District band
Three Rowan County students performed recently with the South Central District All-District Bands at Mooresville High School.
They are Jerry Goodnight of West Rowan High School, H.A. Hoffman of West Rowan Middle School and Hannah White of Salisbury High School.
The prestigious ensembles are comprised of the best band students in the district.
Faith recognition
Faith Elementary School recently recognized students as Good Citizens and Good Deed Doers for December.
Good Citizens are:
Kindergarten: Gracie Douglas, Max Morris, Kendall Harrison and Tiffani Logan.
First grade: Dallas Cobb, Trexler Cloninger, Abby Gainey and Matthew Allman.
Second grade: Cole Sifford, Gabriel Brewer, Matt Messina and Zain Tucker.
Third grade: Elizabeth Yousey, Valery Stegall, Tanner O’Neal and Norman Kelly.
Fourth grade: Kayla Sigmon, Kayln Ellenburg, Mallory Maycock and Emma Hudson.
Fifth grade: Lauren Morgan, Heath Mitchem and James Claiborne.
Good Deed Doers are:
Kindergarten: Jentry Lambert, Adrianna Sanchez, Kaleb Fesperman and Brianna Ghent.
First grade: Lauren Shepherd, Jax Fitz, Sydney Frick and Jobani Sotelo.
Second grade: Jack Gardner, Meadow Stewart, Casey Watson and Cassie Fleeman.
Third grade: Emane’ Melvin, Jake Clark, Harley Amos and Alexis Kluttz.
Fourth grade: Landon Perkins, Nikolas Pillsbury, Madison Full and Joshua Copeland.
Fifth grade: Nicole Bulla, Carleigh Wilson and Duran Dean.

Charlotte Saunders of Salisbury has been named to the fall semester chancellor’s honor roll at the University of Mississippi in Oxford for earning a 3.75 or higher grade-point average on at least 12 semester hours.
