The Salisbury Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.
According to officer Rita Rule, Deshawn Johnson, of Salisbury, arrived at Rowan Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the elbow.
Johnson said he was riding in a car in the 1200 block of West Bank Street when he was shot by an unknown suspect.
He was taken to the hospital by a private car.
“His injuries aren’t life threatening,” Rule said.
No other information was available late Saturday.
