The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education will hold a special meeting Monday night to talk about the proposed administrative office and city conference center.
According to agenda information, Gene Miller, assistant superintendent, will give an update and a presentation on the need for a consolidated central office. He’ll also talk about the status of the buildings the system currently uses to house the central office.
For the special meeting, the board will meet at the Ellis Street Administrative Office.
Also on the agenda for the special meeting:
– Board members will discuss the need for an attorney at monthly school board meetings. The board will also review its current contract with attorney Don Sayers.
– The board will discuss the status of the school board sub-committees and their meeting schedules.
– The school board will also go into closed session to talk about a student appeal from early January and an employee grievance.
The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. at the Ellis Street Administrative Building at 314 N. Ellis St., Salisbury.
