– Dec. 5, 6-6:30 p.m., City Park tree lighting ceremony, City Park Center, no charge.
– Dec. 6, 11 a.m., Santa’s Charity Disc Golf Bowl, Kelsey Scott Park, $15. Registration begins 9:30 a.m. Two 18-hole rounds of disc golf. All participants required to wear Santa hat throughout tournament. Any participant who wears a full Santa costume for the first round will be eligible for one mulligan for the second round of play. Three divisions: amateur/recreational, advanced/open and masters for ages 40 and over. $2 ace pool. Proceeds benefit Nazareth Children’s Home.
– Dec. 6, 10 a.m.-noon, Self Defense Training II, Civic Center, $35 basic fee.
– Dec. 7, 10:30 a.m., NC Cyclo-Cross SeriesńFinale Race, Salisbury Community Park, $15-$20, kids under 10 race free.
– Dec. 9, 5:30ń 9 p.m., Tanglewood light show. Meet at Hall Gym. $10 residents/ $20 non-residents.
– Dec. 9, 5-6:30 p.m., Mind Your Manners (ages 4-7), Miller Center. $5 residents/ $10 non-residents.
– Dec. 11, 5:30-9 p.m. Tanglewood light show. Meet at Hall Gym. $10 residents/ $20.00 non-residents.
– Dec. 13, 10 a.m.ń3 p.m., Scrapbooking by Creative Memories, City Park Center, $13/class.
– Dec. 18, 6-7 p.m., Gang Awareness Seminar, Civic Center, no cost.
– Dec. 18, 5:30ń7 p.m., Holiday Cookie Class, Miller Center. $5 residents/$10 non-residents.
– Dec. 20, 10 a.m.-noon, Christmas Craft, City Park Center. $3 residents/$6 non-residents.
– Dec. 22, 5-6 p.m., Pirate Craft Fun (ages 3-5), Miller Center. $2 residents/$4 non-residents.
– Dec. 22-24, 7:30 a.m.ń5:30 p.m. Holiday Camp, City Park Center and Miller Center. $45 residents/$90 nonresidents.
– Dec. 26-28, 5:30 ń 9:30 p.m. E.E. Morton Holiday Basketball Tournament, Hall Gym. $100 per team.
– Dec. 29-31, 7:30 a.m.ń 5:30 p.m., New Year’s Camp, City Park Center and Miller Center. $45 residents/$90 non-residents.
