Donna's Dancers to perform at 75th Orange Bowl on New Year's Day

Donna Weinhold-Painter, owner and instructor of Donna’s Dancers Dance Studio, 320 N. Main St., has accepted an invitation for her students to perform at the 75th Orange Bowl in Miami, Fla. on New Year’s Day.
Donna’s Dancers will be performing with the Doobie Brothers at the halftime show, which will be choreographed by Mandy Moore. Donna’s Dancers is the only dance studio in North Carolina that will perform.
Students performing are Lauren Haas, daughter of Steve and Tracy Seaford; Natasha Small, daughter of Frank and Conita Small; Carly Opel, daughter of Joseph and Jenny Opel; Emily Baty, daughter of Diane Baty; Marianna Stout, daughter of Donna Weinhold-Painter and Al Stout; Brooke Arrowood, daughter of Lacey Arrowood; Chelsea Hatfield, daughter of Gene and Michelle Hatfield; Shirley Trayah, daughter of Wendy Trayah; and Taylor Shoe, daughter of Jeff and Rhonda Emerson.
Students are holding fundraisers in the community to help fund this trip. Dancers and their parents will be flying to Miami on Dec. 29 and returning Jan. 2.
