NC Sen.-elect Kay Hagan names top staff

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) – North Carolina Senator-elect Kay Hagan has named several members of her senior staff in Washington.
Hagan said Tuesday that former campaign manager Crystal King will be chief of staff. Hagan said King has 15 years of political experience, including working for former astronaut and Ohio Democratic Sen. John Glenn.
Muthoni Wambu will lead Hagan’s staff and offices in North Carolina after working as Hagan’s deputy campaign director. Colleen Flanagan will move to Washington to continue her role as communications director.
Melissa Midgett will move from her role as the campaign’s deputy finance director to deputy state director. Forest Michaels will continue in her role as director of scheduling.
Hagan defeated Republican Sen. Elizabeth Dole in the Nov. 4 election.
