The Hood Seminary Committee on the Faculty will host a faculty colloquium for faculty, staff and students Thursday from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the student lounge of Hood Theological Seminary.
Dr. Andre Resner, professor of homiletics and church worship, will present a paper on the relationship of persuasion to preaching, to which faculty will respond. A question-and-answer session will follow.
Resner’s paper, “On Why Persuasion May (Not) Be a Dirty Word: The Discipline of Homiletics,” is available upon request.
The colloquium is open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
