Arc/Rowan to hold October seminar
The Arc/Rowan will hold its October seminar ó “Anything you want to know about Special Olympics” ó Tuesday night in the Hurley Room of Rowan Public Library.
The seminar lasts from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Renita Ritchie, therapeutic recreation supervisor with the Rowan County Parks and Recreation Department, will talk about how to get a family member involved and how to become a volunteer yourself.
The information presented at this seminar is important for any family affected by developmental disabilities.
This session is free, but if you plan to attend, Arc/Rowan officials ask that you call the agency’s office at 704-637-1521.
This is also an opportunity for CEU credits for teachers.
