HIGH POINT (AP) ó High Point’s massive furniture industry trade show is so big it draws participants from around the United States and 70 foreign countries.
Another sign is the entertainment provided to help thousands of salesmen and buyers unwind from their business deals.
Country singer Jo Dee Messina is the evening entertainment Wednesday for the tens of thousands of industry insiders in the city for the High Point Market. Her No. 1 hits include “I’m Alright” and “Stand Beside Me.”
K.C. and the Sunshine Band and rocker Peter Frampton were booked as entertainment the past two nights.
The name-brand entertainment has been performing at the furniture trade fair for about three years. The acts featured at last April’s market included Kool and the Gang, rockers Cheap Trick, and bluesman Robert Cray.
