Rowan County sheriff’s deputies dug up two marijuana plants growing in a Salisbury man’s backyard Wednesday and planted him the Rowan County Detention Center with criminal charges.
They’re also looking for Ashley Wylie, the woman who lived at 345 Acres Lane, where the marijuana was found.
The Sheriff’s Office said investigators executed a search warrant Wednesday at the home of Wylie and William Sanders, 26.
“During this search, investigators seized two marijuana plants, weighing a total of 736 grams, from the backyard, along with several items of paraphernalia from inside the residence,” officials said in a press release.
Investigators arrested Sanders and charged him with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to sell marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $6,500.
Investigators also have obtained warrants for Wylie.
