The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office has charged a man with first-degree rape and taking indecent liberties with a child.
Charged is Jeffrey Scott Bradley, 24, of 1035 Redhaven Drive, Salisbury.
The indecent liberties charge allegedly occurred with the child between Aug. 15 and Oct. 2.
Indecent liberties charges result when the victim is under 16 and the accused is at least five years older than the child.
The rape reportedly occurred Oct. 1 and 2, reports said.
Bradley was placed under $25,000 bond Saturday. His first appearance in District Court is Monday.
