Salisbury High taking orders for fruit
Salisbury High School is taking orders for fruit from Florida.
Boxes of navel oranges, tangelos, juice oranges and grapefruit are available for $20 per box. Contact Barbara Peach in the main office at 704-636-1221, extension 411, to place an order.
The fruit is scheduled to arrive on Monday, Dec. 14 or Tuesday, Dec. 15. After the fruit arrives, it will be available for distribution in the basement of the cafeteria across from the student parking lot between 2:45-4 p.m. until all fruit is gone.
RCCC offers flu vaccinationsRowan-Cabarrus Community College will host H1N1 influenza vaccination clinics Dec. 14 and 15. The clinics are open to students, employees and the public.
The Dec. 14 clinic will be held 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the North Campus Student Center at I-85 (exit 75) and Jake Alexander Boulevard.
The Dec. 15 clinic will be held noon to 4 p.m. at the South Campus Student Center at 1531 Trinity Church Road, just off N.C. 73 and I-85 at exit 55, in Concord.
Both injection and mist vaccine will be available. Anyone 6 months and older can be vaccinated. Persons without proof of health insurance will be charged $15.
