YourSports: Razorbacks win Winter title

The 9-&-under Rowan Razorbacks baseball team went unbeaten and won the Winter Championships in Lexington on Dec. 6.
The Razorbacks beat the High Rock Mudcats 11-10 and defeated the North Davidson Squires 12-2 in the second game.
The championship game was a rematch between the Razorbacks and Squires. Rowan won 12-2.
Maddox Holshouser and Cole Hales led the Razorbacks on the mound.
At the plate, the leaders were Cole Myers (.600 batting average), Daniel Durham (.571) and Payne Stolsworth (.500). Each member of the team had an on-base percentage of at least .500.
Other team members are Bo Rusher, Alex Antosek, Olen Stamper, Powers Muller and Cade Bernhardt.
The Razorbacks invite any 8-, 9- and 10-year-old boys who would like to tryout for the travel teams to attend practices on Wednesdays in December and January. They begin at 6 p.m. at KidSports on South Main Street in Salisbury.
