If you haven’t heard, the Post’s search for Rowan County’s Electric Elf is on.

We want to hear about the most creative Christmas light displays around — and the people behind them.

If your neighbor or friend is Electric Elf worthy, call Holly Lee at 704-797-7683 to nominate them. (You can also send your nominations to hlee@salisburypost.com.) The last day for nominations will be Dec. 18.

Please remember that we can only consider outdoor decorations and the largest percentage of the display must be made of Christmas lights.

The best displays and their creators will be featured in the Post.

After all finalists have appeared in the Post, the newsroom staff will vote on a winner.Rowan County’s Electric Elf will be named during the week of Dec. 18.

In addition to fame in the Post, the Electric Elf will receive a heavy duty outdoor extension cord and $20 toward his or her holiday power bill.
