Rowan investigators have arrested a China Grove man who was on the Sheriff’s Office most wanted list.
Authorities have linked Jesse Cole Allmon, 23, to a number of 2013 break-ins that occurred at a Salisbury home. Investigators say Allmon went into a home three separate times and took items from inside the house.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Allmon, of the 2800 block of China Grove Road, with two counts breaking and entering, three counts larceny, larceny of a firearm, and obtaining property by false pretenses, all of which are felonies.
Authorities say on Aug. 9, Allmon went into a Statesville Boulevard home where he took $5,000 worth of women’s jewelry. He returned to the home on Sept. 2 and took a welder, fishing rods and two airguns. A few days later, on Sept. 6, authorities said, a video camera, a handgun and some coins were taken from the home.
On Sept. 6, officials said Allmon knowingly sold a stolen handgun to a woman who lived on Vance Avenue. He was issued a $5,000 secured bond. He has since been released from the Rowan County Detention Center. Earlier this month, Allmon was added to the Rowan Sheriff’s Office most wanted list.
