A Salisbury couple was charged Tuesday with child abuse. Salisbury Police have been looking into the abuse accusations since last summer.

Marylou Lindley Hunsucker, 43, and Terry Wayne Miller, 45, both of 702 Holmes St., were arrested at the Rowan County Courthouse and released after signing written promises to appear in court.

Police Chief Mark Wilhelm said the department began investigating in August. The 15-year-old child went to school with bruises, he said.

Investigators are seeking witnesses.
