N.C. State graduate
Andrew Ryan Treece graduated summa cum laude May 12 from N.C. State University in Raleigh. He earned a bachelor of science degree in polymer and color chemistry.
Treece, a consistent dean’s list student, maintained a 4.0 grade-point average all four years at NCSU. He received the Erlanger Prestige Scholarship, completed the University Scholars Program, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa national honor society and was a founder and president of NCSU’s first chapter of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
A 2003 honor graduate of South Rowan High School, he plans to pursue graduate studies in the field of optometry.
His parents are Curtis Treece and Lynn Treece of China Grove.
