Kinderdance On June 9, 45 local Kinderdance students from Christ United Methodist Church Preschool, KIDSPORTS Preschool and Steppin’ Out Dance Company performed for friends and family at their year-end demonstration at Salisbury High School.
Dancers and gymnasts ages 2ń5 were given participation awards based on how long they had been with the Kinderdance program. The following students received participation awards:

The family of the late Whitfield Dwight and Fannie Dunham Graham met for their annual family reunion June 10 in the fellowship hall at Thyatira Presbyterian Church.
Approximately 90 persons were present. Mattie Lee Sloop was the oldest family member and Sarah Rebecca Waller was the youngest. Curtise Graham, the only living member of the original family was unable to attend because of illness.
The children of the late Archie Graham were hosts: daughters Sara Jackson, Nancy Shatley and Deborah Owens; sons W.A. and Delane Graham.
W.A. Graham, who is now living in the Philippines, gave a talk on what he and his wife Letty are doing there. The next reunion will be at the same place, same time next year.
Cabarrus alumni
On June 9, Cabarrus College of Health Sciences sponsored an Alumni Homecoming. More than 80 alumni representing 28 classes ranging from 1948 to 2003 attended. Participants traveled from South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Virginia, New York, Delaware and even Bermuda.
The day began with a breakfast at the college and the chance to visit with classmates, whom many had not seen in years. After breakfast, several of the current student leaders gave tours of the college and of NorthEast Medical Center. The newly constructed college campus that opened its doors in January 2004 impressed many alumni, as did the tremendous growth that the medical center campus has undergone over the last few years.
Several classes, including the classes of 1956, 1957 and 1967, had lunch together that afternoon at various locations in the area.
At 6:00 p.m. everyone met at the Hotel Concord for dinner, dancing and more social time to catch up with one another. Kathy Dayvault, president-elect of the Alumni Association welcomed and thanked everyone for coming.
Chancellor Anita Brown then gave a short welcome on behalf of the college administration and said a few words about the wonderful things currently going on at the college. Chancellor Brown introduced the vice-chancellor, Dr. Dianne Snyder who took the crowd on a stroll down memory lane and spoke about the connections and camaraderie that so many of CCHS alumni share. Dr. Snyder then invited Beth Mabrey ’62 to lead everyone one in the singing of the school song, “The Blue and White.”
Dinner, dancing and much reminiscing followed.
Euart reunion
The annual Euart reunion was held the afternoon of June 17 at the home of Rick and Linda Yost on Yost Road.
There were 80 people in attendance.
The covered dish meal began with announcements and a blessing at 1 p.m.
The oldest attending were Carl Euart and Belle Gandy. The youngest in attendance was Daniel B. Sloop, 6 month old son of Adam and Michelle VeachSloop, granddaughter of Billy and Beth Veach and great-grand daughter of the late Mary and George Veach.
The most recently married couple was George and Ann Veach.
The longest married was Charles and Polly Webb.
Randy, Debbie and Casey Lomax traveled the farthest to attend this year’s reunion, coming from South Carolina.
Next year’s reunion will be held on the second Sunday of June at 1 p.m., again at the home of Rick and Linda Yost.
