LANDIS — The Landis Fire Department will host the Breast Cancer 5K on Saturday, Oct. 4. The 5K will start at the Landis Pool at 301 W. Rice St. at 10 a.m. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. Walkers are encouraged to participate.
After the race, all runners will get a free lunch that includes chicken and pasta. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. following the awards ceremony. Awards will be given in 14 age groups for men and women and for the top three finishers overall. Each participant will get a free commemorative shirt, as will all cancer survivors.
All proceeds will benefit breast cancer survivors in need of financial assistance.
